We grew up on the stuff, were were all at one point innocent children just watching cartoons on TV. The cartoon Characters were there, and we were in for the ride.
Now skip a few years ahead and look back on what we watched. Does it seem strange? Shocking? Surprising that...*drum roll*
We discover innuendos, violence and all that "not-so-kiddy" things on Tv, stuff that would make a show PG-13 or even R.
Don't deny it, we've all been there, and this thread is here for you to share what you've found hidden in your childhood.
> blood? Violence? maybe Death?

We Want em' all!!
::IMPORTANTE::
Yes, we can start debates, discussions but remember...be CIVIL, that includes, no flaming, no insulting, no mindless posts...you know what I mean, we're here to have fun, so don't go all high and mighty on us.

AND FOR GOD'S SAKE!! BE LITERATE

::BIG P.S.::
Don't show your parents this thread, it'd only give them ammunition for their campaigns. Unless they've got a sense of humor

::NOTE::
Banners and other things for this thread may be sent in. It is also appreciated to advertise this thread among your friends.

::NEW NOTE:: (7/21/2007)

Due to continuous repetition of discussion, Disney classic themes are not allowed, particulary
the "SFX/SEX" cloud in Lion King.
the "Take off your clothes" in Aladdin
the p***s castle in The Little Mermaid
most of these can be seen (and disproven) at http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/films.asp
In Justice League Unlimited in an episode with an older Terry, that one old lady said "Bruce used to spread his DNA all over town. Terry was like "whoa". Then she said "not like that".

That's just really funny to me.
two stupid dogs, omg i completely forgot that show! i luved that sooo much.
"My mom is ancient, and grippling with the onset of menopause."-Billy from the grim adventures of billy and mandy

Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls feature plenty of decapitations and dismembering.

The overtly gay Jimmy in Ed Edd and Eddy. Sarah and Nazz don't refer to him as a boy.

there's probably plenty more, I just can't think of them.
im positive if they had a show where they were all adults, jimmy would be gay.
Lord Zaeon
Powerpuff Girls feature plenty of decapitations and dismembering.

and they had a villain named Sedusa. Need I say more?
...Sedusa seduces the mayor as Sarah Bellum
...in the episode when they'er remembering stuff, Mojojojo admits his love to the professor
...when the Professor tried to study Fuzzy Lumpkins and in the end when Fuzzy grabbed what he thought was the professor a few minutes ago and proceeded to make love to it, savagely I might add
Wow...i never thought of it til now. Thanx guys. ^^ Now that I think of it..cartoons intended for kids do have some levels of maturity in them. in Lilo and Stitch..how come Pleakly is always dressed like a woman?! and Spongebob as well..do they have some...sexual problems that they need to talk about. Cause kids seem to find it funny for a guy to dress like a woman all the time.

I SAW THAT ONE!! that was funny! XD
xd Just about everything in the Mindy episode of The Simpsons was lost on me when I was little.
TheFluffyElf
Him in PPG.

...You know, I was about to go "DARNIT, YOU BEAT ME TO IT, PERSON!" when I clicked the "quote" button, and then I realized it was you and I was all, "OMG! AM I A STALKER?!" and now I'm taking therapy sessions every Tuesday. BECAUSE OF YOU, FLUFFY, BECAUSE OF YOOOU!

But anyways, yeah. Him is the coollest villain in the history of CartoonNetworkdom. He a crossdressing Satan with lobster claws, and you're all gonna bow to him.

Another thing that got me in an episode of PPG I watched the other day was how violently the girls dispatched of the monsters -- there was this huge monster wrecking Townsville, as was the norm, and the girls, after each unsuccessfully trying to defeat the monster from above, turn into whirlwinds and burrow underground. Seconds later, they pop out of the monster's head, killing it.

Oh, and then there's Jackal and Hyena from Gargoyles, some of my other favorite cartoon villains, if only for the sheer... twisted-ness of their characters. In "Upgrade" they do a number of things that make you wince away from the TV (Hyena's fingers twisting all the way back), not to mention the fact that the show heavily suggests that they're having romantic relations with one another despite being siblings ('bit too close for comfort in some scenes). So, yes, they were characters that might scare the chilluns.
try ren & stumpy

ps-i know they was something wrong with jackal & hyena(gargoyles)

sorry if i spelled anything wrong

Ohhh, yeah, Ren & Stimpy o-o the show that sailed a thousand psychopaths. 'Absolutely loved that show xd .

'Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed some wrong-ness with Jackal and Hyena. Especially that one scene -- I think it was in Upgrade -- where Jackal was hurt and laying (half-naked, even!) in Hyena's lap. Oh, and did you base your username on Gargoyles-Puck? If so, awesome 3nodding .

In Fairly Odd Parents, in the episode where Timmy wished the bug up Vicky's butt would dissapear (or something like that) and the bug went up his dad's butt, Timmy comes running in with a net and says to his mom, "Mom! I have to shove this net up dad's butt!" She responds with "Oh is it father's day already?" There's a lot of stuff in FOP.

Heh, "man-skirts".
