avatar/legend of korra anime or cartoon?

Personally, I think Avatar: the Legend of Korra IS an "Anime" because:

1. there's the Exaggerated facial expressions, which is very Common in Japanese Animation.

and

2. the Animation and plot looks like that of a Japanese Animation TV show.

But that's just me. wink

It's anime inspired no doubt about that.

If a Japanese show was American cartoon inspired would you count it as a cartoon? Like Panty and Stocking?

That show reminds me way too much of South Park!
Even though I've never watched that Anime, Seeing the Trailer was enough for me to NOT consider watching it. Seriously, My first impression of that Anime was: OMG! WTF is this!? emotion_0A0

Anyway, I never really considered "Panty & Stocking" to be "Anime" when I first saw the trailer/Preview of it.

But somehow, I knew it was Anime, since Funimation has it.
