I get that people tend to see a show they grew up with as one from there generation but really when i think of 90's cartoons I think just of ones made in the ninties. I would never count Looney Tunes as a 90's cartoon because they were made from the 40s-60s but well that's just me nitpicking.
Now my favorite 90's cartoons.

What do you mean by pre SNICK? Do you mean like when the Rugrats continued after the first movie? The one with Tommy's little brother and all? If so then, yeah I wasn't really a big fan of that either.
Nope I mean before then,. I mean when the show went from airing new episodes in the morning to airing new episodes of Nicks Late Night snick block. That was a season before Dil shown up and that was when the show started to suck. People blame Dil but really Rugrats was going down hill before that point.
WTF they actually changed it back then to night time in the 90's?
gonk I can't really say that the episodes shown at night sucked (since I didn't have cable as kid so I just went to a friend's house to watch cartoons during the afternoon or morning) but that time slot sure does sound like a terrible idea.
Nick really wanted to make their SNICk block a success, but yeah Rug Rats did not really fit in with shows like All That and Are you Afraid of the Dark which also aired on SNICK. Rugrats kind of felt like the odd show out when it was added to the block.
Anyway I do feel the quality dropped before Dil appeared but not many people share that opinion. Of course the last season was the absolute worse, god was Taffy the worst character ever.
