has any one ever read the book?

It's alright. I mean it's a children's book so it will take you probably three-four hours at the most to finish. Fairly straight-forward to understand if you come to it in the mindset that it's a children's book. Kind of like The Phantom Tollbooth (you might have read that in elementary school?).

I have certainly read the book, perhaps a couple years ago.

Was one of the most interesting books I've picked up, but man, it's got some trippy chizz.
And of course, no rendition of it can hold a candle to the original, for me.
