I was just wondering what adaptation of 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' you all liked the most and why.

As for me, I think I like the animated Disney one the best, even though it doesn't exactly follow the book precisely. I think it's mostly the nostalgia that makes me enjoy it more than the others.

I adored the Disney version. Absolutely adored it.

I didn't like Tim Burton's that much. It was a strange concoction and mixture of both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel.

Not to mention that the story was so all-over-the-place that trying to follow gives one a headache? I also wasn't fond of how they suddenly turned the Mad Hatter into the main character just because Johnny Depp plays him. >A>

Oh yes, definitely. The Mad Hatter was just everywhere.
And I didn't like what they were trying to imply with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Who's your favourite character?

Ah...yes. That too. Because, of course Alice in Wonderland is totally a love story. LOL
That makes me tempted to draw a nonserious, super desu kawaii comic now.

In general, probably the Cheshire cat, closely followed by the White Rabbit.

Hahaha! The White Queen really wasn't as I imagined her as well.
Why not?! smile What does desu mean? Kawaii is cute right?

I love the Cheshire Cat. And the white rabbit as well.
I quite liked the Red Queen in the book.

I don't even really know...I was saying that as basically a way to make fun of like weeaboos and fangirls.

Yeah...I wasn't digging Anne Hathaway in that movie >A>
Of course, I don't like her in most movies other than Ella Enchanted and The Princess diaries. Ironically, we have the same last name lol

Great! I like you biggrin

Haaha oh they're both cool last names(:
I like the 1988 Czech version. It is pretty strange- I do not think there is any dialogue, there is a lot of weird stop-motion and the White Rabbit is a taxidermied rabbit. It is an unsettling movie. Really well done, if the point of it was to weird people out.

Dapper Dabbler

The Disney movie is pretty and one thing Disney is great at is pacing. They don't make movies too long or too short. It isn't just like the book, but it's an entertaining movie.

I can't think of any other ones I like as much, right now. One thing I dislike is how a lot of adaptations add romance. Ewwww! This is one series that doesn't need that!
The Syfy Channel's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland was kinda interesting. Sure the graphics sucked, but I overall enjoyed the storyline.

Ilove that you have the 90s show in the poll. Found it on youtube a few weeks ago and laughed myself stupid watching.
My favorite is probably a draw between the Buena Vista/Disney animated movie and Frank Beddor's Looking Glass Wars series. Madigan Hatter? ALL OF THE YES.

Well... the book isn't an adaptation.. It's the original. The best adaptation is the 1999 version, which stays closest to the book itself.
