Because neither have an ‘n' in it, and both have a 'b' in it.

Apparently when Lewis Carrol made up that riddle, he didn't intend for there to be an answer, but I read on the website that several fans came up with that idea, and he said it did make sense.

Seeing as the Hatter's mad, his riddle wouldn't have made sense. So therefore the answer doesn't make sense, but as everyone in wonderland is supposed to be mad, the riddle fits in with the place and that is the correct answer.

Sorry if you can't understand this, i'm not that good at explaining things.
