She found it odd that Finn had no gills, and it was revealed that the other Hyoomans had these, but she absorbed the English language rather quickly, which could indicate that she spoke it before and forgot, or that she's a fast learner.

So, she may not be a Hyooman, like the others in Beautopia, but I wouldn't go as far as to say she's Finn's mom. We don't really know what species she is. She could be human, but there's no real evidence.

Right now only Fin knows if Susan Strong is human or not. I would like to think that she is human since at this time we only know about a handful of humans in the land of Ooo. But we will all just have to keep watching.
As for Who Fin's mom is, he might be able to find out, if he asks his good for nothing father. However I don't think that its very likely that that he remember or would even tell Fin.
