ohh, this reminds me of renaissance faires ;o
i've been dragged to a few by friends and it's pretty awesome
especially since everyone participating stays in character even though i'm obviously walking around with an anime tshirt on and snapping at them with a digicam

lol we do not have people dressed as mythical creatures at our events, usually it is frowned upon, but we have Elizabethan people in full regalia, and let me tell you the details of making one of those could take years @.@ We also have gypsies and other people come from all over the world, I think the farthest was Australia? Maybe south Africa.
