HOLY CRAP! The Ball is still going on, I thought it ended last night. Well, o.k. I don't think I'll be on much today, I have things I need to do else where on gaia. This has been a great ride though and I love this place. I hope I see you all around gaia, and i can't wait for next years Ball.

Speaking of Zep:
My favorite LZ album has always been the fourth (the one without a title), but the picture on the inside of the cover has always puzzeld me. I knew I've seen it somewhere:

It was only recently that I realized that this is the Hermit card in Tarot:

Zep has always been mysterious and heavily relying on symbolism, and this kind of "strangeness" made them special in the good years, when there were a whole lot of equally talented bands.

Pink Floyd was very much alike, especially in the Roger Waters era, but of course, that was in the late seventies.

OMG, ABBA hasn't been mentioned! (or sry if it has benn)
They were great musicians and singers, but the true success came from the melodies, so they were really great songwriters & composers. The ancient art of writing melodies (eg: sit in front of a piano and start doing random tunes) worked perfectly with this quartett. Benny was the mind behind the songs, and this shows mostly in "Gimme gimme gimme". The lead tune is a simple scale played first forward, then backward. If you listen to the vocal part of the song, it's also obvious, that the melody was produced the same way, they wrote silly lyrics for the song, and two talented singers made it into a hit. ABBA really made it look easy.
