there are a lot more female guitarists than you think there are.
(I'm one, for that matter)

There are some women who can really shred (like Lori Linstruth, Britt Lighting, Lita Ford, etc.)
but there are also some that take one step forward, two steps back for women who play guitar (like The Great Kat. sure she plays fast, but she has no melodic ability what so ever and is often of tempo. I can't believe she went to Juilliard. She learned no theory what so ever,and then there's that woman from Babes in Toyland... oi.)

so yeah I agree with you, there should be a lot more SKILLED females with guitars.
(though there really are a fair number. They vary in genre, but most know their genre well.)

I'm just tired of the ones who set bad examples of women with guitars.
