I pretty much never open up a shop.
Too much obligation, I'd rather just do freebies, that way if they're crappy I don't feel so bad and I can take foreeeeevvveeeeeerr, cause I'm a really bad procrastinator.
I think the last time I opened a shop I was just doing pencil sketches for like 1k
