Hmm, if a possibility of a Holmes brother comes out in the series, won't that make a big change in the story whether he is an enemy or an ally? Though I think it would make a great plot somehow, won't the story get a bit... side-tracked from the supposed focus on John and Sherlock's 'relationship'? Since the story always circulates about 'them'. But knowing Moffat and Gatiss, (which both of them can be pretty unpredictable) I find the idea exciting.
