Duhuna's room

The lights outside were quite blinding, but a haze rolled over the house as she opened the doors to her home. There were dozens of groups running amongs the crowds of people in the city. The noise carried far as the excitement of the festivities washed through the towns.
I smile and wave at anyone who looks my way while I sit infront of the home, waiting for my first visitors. The sight of so many people pulls back on me as I look into the streets. I fear that going with them would be a mistake for me.

So alone I cheer with them as I look out from the house. Inviting in anyone for whom their curiosity brings them.

I bring out an old card table and set off to the side of the chair. An old dusty thing, with worn metal legs and a thin maroon cloth laying across it. you can see the warn tan lining of the table top under the tattered moth-ridden cloth. I set a few things across the table; a few candles to provide lighting in the late evening, a small book, and a bowl of fruits.
