Message: We looked upon the room so large,
With people masquerading around,
And dancers taking charge.
A lone person was in the corner,
Sipping wine with a face of distaste,
Wondering if they had to stay an longer.
Approached we did with our faces covered,
Took your hand without a word,
No frown would we allow for a future lover.
Around and around us three went,
The music playing as it would never stop,
But alas the final beat played and we could tell you were spent.
With each of your hand in ours,
Lifted our mask only so slightly,
And with a swift, soft motion a kiss with care.

A single red rose is all I can give to you.
A single meaning, that all my love is true.
If I could I'd give you many, rainbow of love.
And each single rose, carried by dove.
Showering you with your beauty so splendid.
I'd make sure it never ended.
My first would be purple, so beautiful and bright,
For its very meaning is love at first sight.
A shower of purple, so beautiful and true.
Then slowly but surely followed by blue.
The mystery in you I cannot grasp.
Oh how I long for our hands to clasp.
Next would be pink, gentle and sweet.
A beauty of colors, all at your feet.
Then would be white, the petals like snow.
For love is so pure, your skin starts to glow.
Then comes the red, for love holds so much,
But then I must realize we'll never touch.
My sorrow, my pain, the black roses fall,
But thankfully, love, that is not all.
A shower of yellow, let's be but friends.
For this is where the rose shower ends.
The doves would then scatter, but this is not so,
With a single red rose, then I must go.
