Hi, um... I'm pretty new to Gaia in general, so I'm not really sure how to go about this... but what would people say about a fanfiction based in the Gaia universe? Not based off of the members, of course, but off of the NPC's. My idea is somewhat as follows:

The planet Gaia was a peaceful planet, inhabited by creatures we on earth would consider myths, until the humans came. Humans set up their own society, restricting the acts of the native Gaians, in some cases forgetting that they even existed on Gaia. (example, orcs.) Centuries later, the descendants of the natives Gaians (or in the case of the Dark Elves, the next generation), have decided that they want their home back, and form alliances among themselves to send the humans back to whence they came. (I'm currently using Gaia as an alternate Earth). However, the Vampires were not native Gaians, but the result of a mutated strain of bacteria from Earth. They did not formerly exist on Gaia, because they are, for my purposes, mutated humans (hence why there's a cure). The vampires must choose their allegiances, and everyone winds up fighting for their rights to stay on Gaia.

It would be classed as a sci-fantasy, but I really need help. I want to know if this would even be acceptable in the Fanfic section, and what people think of the idea.

Oh, one question, is Ian still a vampire?

Someone tell me if this sounds reasonable, or if there's a hole or question I should know about.

I'm trying to kill off a gang's hitman. He's not exactly employed by the gang, but he has an agreement/truce with the gang's leader. He still works on his own, but will accept an assignment given by this gang in favor over another one.

Now, the situation plays out like this: He's driving down a red light area looking for a hooker. One approaches him, they drive off for a nearby motel over very light conversation. Girl shoots him as soon as they're inside the room.

What does she shoot him with? If the motel staff isn't in on it, she'd need a silenced weapon. That aside, any missed shots would be going into other rooms, especially if the walls are thin.

Also, she'd need to conceal her weapon. Where would she put it? (The creepy yet hilarious answer to that is not the correct one. rolleyes )

Fun fact! Citing the environmental risk of disposing of hookers conventionally in landfills, California was the first state to require special disposal bins near every drain pipe. Improperly disposing of a hooker can result in a several hundred dollar citation.

She's got a pistol and it does have a silencer. She only shoots once.

A page before she's described as wearing a hoodie and a short skirt. The gun is hidden in a pocket in the front, where she would also keep at least one hand at all times. She approaches my hitman on the street and leads him to believe she's a prostitute.

Tell me what you guys think of these two ideas. I'm still writing the storyline, but I'll give you the basics of it.

Tales of Justice (still in the works)
Set in the world of Vasoria, Tales of Justice deals with a world filled with war, corruption, and chaos. Rudi Varnell is an 18 year old who has recently graduated from the Knights Academy, who meets a young woman named Martina, who believes that Rudi possesses one of the "Essences of Justine" also known as "Inner Justice." Martina asks for Rudi's aid in help searching for others who also have the Essence of Justine within them and restore the Absolute Order to the world.

I'm still deciding whether or not that Rudi and Martina be twins or non-twin siblings. And how Rudi and maybe Martina discover about the Essence of Justine within in them. The only three essence I can come up with so far are: Will of Justice/Justine, Heart of Justice/Justine, and Spirit of Justice/Justine.

Tales of Memoria (still in the works)
Set in the world of Ragnados, Tales of Memoria basically revolves around a 17 year old name Shion who is found washed ashore at a nearby beach and discovers that only was his memories altered and rearranged, but mixed with someone else's. Now Shion must find a way to fix his memories and figure out the meaning of these "altered flashbacks."

I like the sound of the first one, it sounds like a cool storyline...but i was thinking (if you don't want advice ignore this next bit)

you could make a set of triplets each with one of the "inner justices" inside them,

as for the second one...if you write it a good way it could be amazing, but with two peoples memorys in one mind it might get very confusing....

just my thoughts..anyway good luck with writing biggrin

"Nothing is true . . .

Right now, I am stuck on a "Dark Knight" Joker fic I am in the process of writing. I've already written the first chapter and am working on the second. However, I am stuck. I know what will happen LATER as well as how it will END, but I don't know 1) how to finish this chapter and 2) what will happen in the middle.

This is what has happened so far:

CHAPTER ONE:
* A robbery is committed at Gotham Mutual
* During the robbery, a bank employee gets killed by the Joker
* Joker, his henchmen, and a member of the mob escape the scene with their money, finally arriving at an old, abandoned warehouse by the docks.
* The mob member, Calvino, suspects Joker will have him killed off once the deal is made, so he acts, but eventually does get killed. He finds out at the last minute that several of his fellow mobsters have turned on him and are now working for Joker.

CHAPTER TWO:
* A woman named Monica Sanders is called down the to the police station where Commissioner Gordon tells her that her husband, David Sanders, was killed during a bank robbery by Joker. This is the same guy who dies at the beginning of Chapter One.
* Story switches over to Joker and his henchmen who are in an old, abandoned apartment and are loading the money into the room.

And that's all I have so far.

Now, as for what I have PLANNED . . .

* At one point, Joker will use the nametag he tore off of David Sanders' dead body to find his home phone number. Monica will answer the phone, and that's when Joker discovers that David has a wife. He will begin to tell her how David died in vivid detail, then hang up abruptly. Monica will then call the police, who tell her to wait for an office to pick her up, not knowing whether or not Joker has already chosen her as a target (they wouldn't know if her car has been rigged or not).

* At the end, Monica will be kidnapped by one of Joker's henchmen disguised as a police officer, and she'll be held hostage. Joker will mess with her and her mind, lusting after her and constantly holding her at knife-point. Before anything can get out of hand, Batman appears on the scene to rescue her. Joker will then set the bags of money from the heist on fire, and Batman chooses -- instead of chasing after Joker -- to save Monica's life. Afterwards, it'll be said that the building had been surrounded and no one saw anyone go in or out even as the fire intensified. But, of course, that does not mean that the Joker is dead . . .

So, yeah, what I'm having trouble with it getting from Point A to Point B to Point C. This story will be focusing a bit more on Joker, even though there are and will be scenes told from Monica and Gordon's POV.
. . . Everything is permitted."

Yeah, I need a little help with my current story: Cupid's last stand.

Basically it's about the god Eros coming to earth to help a teenager get a boyfriend on Valentine's day. The only thing is he starts to like her and wants her to fall in love with him, and she starts to. The real problem is he's a god and she's a mortal and it can't work out.

So what I'm really looking for is a real climax. I want to find a Greek god to play a villian role, but I don't know who. I have a mythology book but it only offers a little about Eros, most specifically the Physce and Eros myth. So I'm really wondering if Eros has any "Rivalries" with the other gods or if I should use Aphrodite or Hera as a semi-villian.

razz If anyone has a site or anything that might help me out with this I would love you forever. If what I need it's really specific enough I can always try writing more. I'm trying to make it quick.

I can actually see Aphrodite as your antagonist. If my memory is correct, in the Eros and Psyche myth, she was quite against Psyche ever seeing Eros again because she broke his heart. You could go with something similar in your story or just make it so Aphrodite simply doesn't want her immortal son with a mortal girl.

Okay, now for my own little thing. I've wanted to write a short story but when i think of how much I'm going to write, it would actually be pretty long for a short story. At the same time it's way too short to even be a novella. My question is, how long is a short story usually? And what would be the appropriate length for a longer short story?

It might make the last scene more meaningful if the Joker saw and secretly observed Monica throughout the story, but he wouldn't have to know who she was until the nametag/phonecall scene.

Also, for some reason Monica reminds me of Naomi Misora, from vol2 of "Death Note." If I was writing this, I would have Monica investigate on her own for a chapter or two and try to find the Joker's location, similar to what Naomi did. This might also help with my first idea; Joker hears a rumor that someone is trying to track him down, but the idea of this woman succeeding is so ridiculous he doesn't bother killing her yet. So he just watches her.

But these ideas are probably straying too far from what you intended. Feel free to ignore them.

I'm in the brainstorming stage for a fanfiction I'm going to write. It's called, "The Furugasa's Skyfrost." It's basically an story about a female Kitubasa Monk that leaves the monks, learns the art of gunplay in exchange for killing the Kitubasa Monks' head, joins a institute of agents and during a mission meets and begins liking the imprisoned Skyfrost usurper, Lulu. It also deals with her balancing the institute's missions and "don't get too attached to anyone" recommendation, her blossoming love for the usurper, and the half millennium mystery of the Skyfrost Kingdom. Here are the main characters...

- The Furugasa Gunner

- Chrysalis Lulu Skyfrost

I basically need some ideas on missions, an idea for some villains aside from the head monk, what to do and what not to do concerning lesbian romance, ideas for other agents, and a training regeime for the institute's various positions, along with some other things that may come up. I have a good idea of how the plot'll go, I just need help with the various mechanics of the story.

this is something I kinda just thought of by accedent... that happens a lot.
a bratty and jealous princess kidnapps a mermaid named Naomi and locks her in a tower because the mermaid was prettier than her. (which is bad, because the tower lacks water)Naomi is rescued by an incompetent young wizard who's secretly been crushing her. They go find the hag,(for some reason...) who is really nine and a half and named Kimi. The problem is Naomi doesn't like the wizard in the same way...
Naomi is the only fully developed character. She's sweet, preppy, kinda ditzy, and obsessed with hair. Ya know, how mermaids are supposed to be.
of course, I haven't really come up with much of a plot yet(...) but it's a work in progress. i think it will turn out to be a fantasty version of a middle school drama. oh, and sorry for any typos. *cringes* does anyone like it or have any ideas?

I just need a quick spot of help.

I have a character. Originally, my plan was that he was going to have a disease that would eventually kill him, explaining his rather negative and apathetic characteristics. However, after fleshing him out into an honest-to-God character and working with him a little, I've come to find I enjoy him too much to kill him off, because while the drama and gushy angst would be delicious, I know I'd make an a** out of myself trying to bring him back should I decide to write further stories. Even if I didn't, he'd haunt me. However, even if I don't write him into an early grave, the illness is central to one of the plot points. Therefore, I need something serious enough to give him a sense of doom-and-gloom, but not serious enough to kill and/or debilitate him, which is remarkably difficult. I've been scouring medical sites for likely symptoms, but it's slow going.

So, my questions are these (It's a two-parter):

A) Should I stick with my original plan and kill him off, or

B) If changing the illness is a better idea, are there any suggestions on how to fit the parameters given?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You had it coming.
I see the rant thread about Twilight, and, i'm scared. xD

Anyways, would this be a good vampire sub-species?

-Can go out in the sun, but gets a sunburn (Because the blood rises to areas easily burnt)
-The longer the vampire is affected by natural light (Sunlight, not lights in houses, etc) the hungrier they get. If they're out after five or so hours, they get madly hungry.
-Reason why blood from blood banks and hospitals aren't stolen very often? It's cold blood, and they spit said blood up afterward, making them much more hungry.

Would this be a good skeleton? I have the setting in Sacramento, California, which is VERY warm, dry, hardly any dark, sunless days. I lived there for awhile...
