I got a distance rod plus, all types of bait, when i go to Duram Lake, I can't catch a thing. I tried to reel in 50 fish and I got 2 of them. Anyone have any advice that might help, or am I stuck on the newb lake forever. thanks

    i'd suggest you go to the fishing forum and read a few guides.

I'd suggest getting a Performance +. I have better luck with it because you have the distance at the top of a distance rod, and then the width of a strength rod at the bottom. Kind of a win win.

Also, try your best to time the fish's speed. If they're fast, loosening up on the rod right before they're about to make a mad dive towards the other line helps immensively. But be careful that when you loosen up you don't do it too soon, or else they might crash into the line you've been trying to not hit.

Bass'ken is the easiest Lake.
Durem Reclamation is the hardest.
SO... with your rod and bait, take a try at Port of Gambino.

indeed, like all suggestions already said: sometimes another rod can help. I started myself as well with a distance rod but it didn't worked for me. Now i use an perfomance rod plus and it works just fine for me. Just notice when you let slip away your fish, that depends on what kind of rod you need. If your fish go away in the beginning (far away) and in the end (close to you) then i'll suggest the perfomance etc. Another lake could work as well, port gambino is good for progressing fishers. good luck!

It's really hard to go from Bassken to Durem. Try a few buckets at Gambino first.
