I was just curious as to how many people know of this program. How does it compare to Photoshop/other stuff [Sorry for all of those who use the "other", but PS was the first thing that came to mind.].

Hmm, Paint Tool SAI. I occasionally use it. It's like Photoshop, without the fancy filters or anything. The major difference, I suppose, between the two is the brush stroking technique you use to draw in it. That's all I can say since I don't really use SAI. sweatdrop |

I've used it before, and personally, i liked it way better than the Photohsop CS2 i have. I'm planning to get it, because i've only gotten the trial version, but you can do anything you can on Photoshop, but SAI is more specifically on digital drawing, the Photoshop takes such a big space when i only have it to digitally make art. So, it's simpilar and the lines are easier to handle and stroke.
You can do everything on Photoshop that you can on SAI, but Photoshop at times makes it harder too. XD |

Never used it myself but i've heard of it. My friend who uses it frequently told me that it's pretty much the same as oekaki like ShiiPainter and stuff.

I only downloaded it earlier today, but I lined an old sketch of mine and I find it's better for line art than Photoshop or Open Canvas, which is what I would have normally used. Haven't tried colouring yet, I use Photoshop to do that. Always. Gotta love the blur tool. ;D |

Maybe, but like I said, I only downloaded it like... five hours ago. xD I've not had a chance to figure out its full potemtial yet. That, and it's in Japanese. I need to find a screen-shot translation. |

Google Paint Tool SAI. It should come up with the fan-English translation [As the first link too]. I think there's an official English version as well.

I downloaded it, and it says it's a 31 day trial [I don't have the original, so...]. I'm assuming it's free if you have the original SAI, but I don't have it, so I can't really say.

"0ceanBlue" PaintTool SAI have a blur feature, right? I saw it being used. See, this is what i've been trying to figure out. I *believe* there isn't a blur tool. What you saw being used was a soft brush of a color in between the shadow and base color, i'm assuming, to make it look like it blurs. Then again, maybe i never discovered it. xd |
