Yet another scam going around via PM. This one appears slightly more convincing but is also fake. sweatdrop
Please watch out for it, and never give out your password to anyone.

New unofficial scam report. Users trying to pass off a Neopets account in order to steal your Gaia account. If someone has been PMed with this scam, please quote it for me and I'll add it in here. 3nodding

Small update.

Ink mixing is fixed!!
Use the new shop "Skin Tyte" shop and go to the Tattoo section in order to make rare and mixed inks again.

A new fake login page is circulating about.
If someone pms you to vote for them in the arena or check something out and it redirects you to a login gaia page, please take a look at the URL. If it isn't http://www.gaiaonline.com/ then it isn't a part of Gaia. You should also not be logged out by going to vote. This is a tactic used to steal your passwords, so please be careful. 3nodding

Hey, everyone. Avatar customization appears to be down, with the dress up avatar showing up as a broken image.
It should be fixed eventually, so just be patient for now. ^_^

July 19 - That avatar customization problem seems to be all better now.

Password scams are plaguing the PM system again so watch out! This is one of the newest ploys to get your password from you.

Upon release of the new item, we've been experiencing problem with the avatar system. We're working on fixing the servers and everyone should be able to save their avatars by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

There have been some reported issues, with getting into the fishing area for Durem. As such a workaround has been worked out for the time being.

Gifting from the inventory has been disabled temporarily while a problem that was discovered is fixed. It is hoped that it will be back and working tomorrow -- thanks for your understanding.

June Monthly Collectibles June 15th, 2008
At this time, users are unable to open monthly collectibles. Based on the multiple threads in the Q&A it is possible this is a global issue. At this time all we can do is wait for the admins/developers to fix.

They fixed it the second I added this xD

There is an older password phishing scam making the rounds in the PM system again. This may seem familiar to some of you.

The link takes you to a fake page that asks for username, password, and may start sending the same message from your account. Remember to look at the URLs in these messages, if they are not from http://www.gaiaonline.com , then report them immediately! 3nodding

    At this time, some people may be having log in issues. There are people with similar names to someone else (for example, Boxed Lunch would have issues logging in due to boxedlunch). The letters in red bellow are the numbers you will need to use as your user ID to log in. If you cant find your profile page, please try to search for it.

    Gaia Toolbar Update July 30, 2008

    A few days ago, users were prompted to update their toolbars. However, after doing so resulted in the loss of all Firefox Add-ons.
    A workaround to fix this is to re-download the toolbar from Gaia. Unfortunately, as of my typing this it seems to be offline. So if you lost your Add-ons, please sit tight till it comes back TwT; Sorry for the trouble this may have caused.

    A user has messaged me with another way to get your Add-ons working again, and one of our mods has tried it as well.

    Fishing Captcha Messing Up - Workaround August 22, 2008
    We're having some trouble with the passcode (CAPTCHA) - the two words you have to fill every time you save a bucket. Right now when you type these words, they appear in the chat section, not in the passcode window.

    This is a known problem and there is a temporary workaround:
    After typing the words in the chat section, copy and paste them using the mouse, not keyboard shortcuts to the appropriate location. This should allow you to save your buckets.

    Clarification:
    You should copy and paste the passcode from the chat section to the CAPTCHA window. Using keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) simply doesn't work, so please use the mouse (mark, rightclick, choose "copy", then click on the CPATCHA window, rightclick, then choose "paste"

    It looks like trades have started glitching over the course of the night. They appear to be whitepaging, so please do not be alarmed if you experience these issues. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
