C&T Rules and Guidelines

Violations of these rules will result in deleted topics, warnings, and bans.

How to ask a question? It'll help you sound smarter when asking questions, and will make it easier for people (not just us) to help you.


There are two forums in C&T. The main forum and Tech-Talk.

C&T is for:

  • Questions of a technical nature.
  • Is your router not working?
  • Are you getting a blue screen of death and don't know why?
  • Is your computer acting oddly?


C&T Tech Talk is for:

  • Discussions of a technical nature.
  • Want to get the opinion of others?
  • You have a question that's a discussion starter?

Do not post anything that is in the Done to Death Sticky.

  • People keep asking the same questions over and over. We've answered them hundreds of times.
  • We have a solution! The Done to Death list! Some of the most commonly asked questions have answers there!
  • Don't repost topics from the Done to Death list, it makes the natives testy.
  • In fact, here's a link to the Done to Death Topic List!

Do not SPAM.

  • Spamming will NOT be tolerated in the C&T. This has been largely neglected in the past. It will be strictly enforced for now on.

Do not BUMP.

  • C&T and C&T:TT are very slow moving forums, often taking many hours for your topic to move down to the second page.
  • In short, don't BUMP! It's not necessary and just angers the natives. The natives call this Bad Juju! You don't want to anger the gods, now do you?

Do not bring a thread back from the dead.

  • Bringing topics back from the dead is rather pointless. The original author is not likely to come back.
  • Now if an old thread has some really important info in it that you want help with or clarification on, create a new thread and ask about it.

Do not post Hate topics/posts.

  • The reason for this should be fairly obvious. Just don't do it and the natives will be happy and the party can continue.

Do not name your topic "HELP" or in other such vague terms.

  • If you have such a vague title in your thread, we don't know if we can help. It makes it harder on us and tends to anger the natives.
  • Warning: When the natives are jumping up and down with shields and spears, hopping from foot to foot, they are not partying. They are pissed.

  • There are plenty of places to offer your services. If you do avi art, whatever, that's great! But there are much better places to do it!
