I just thought of Pancho Villa when you said bandit razz

LOL rofl
There's someone in my career who's called Francisco Villa (and everyone call him Pancho Villa, since Pancho is almost always just the nickname of a guy named Francisco, not a name by itself) (it annoys me when people IRL call me Pancha because my real name is Francisca gonk )

K guys, maybe this is the right place to post this, since I have titles...I just can't figure out which one to use.

They are the following:

The Disputable Mortal
The Great Deeds (Achievements?) of Our Lord, Ridley
The Man in the Garden, with roses
or simply,
Ridley and the Witch Ravid

Just, if you please, tell me what each title makes you feel, which title you like the best, and which one you find really stupid.

alright, I'm writing a story with an evil dark knight as the antagonist. I have his name, but I want to come up with a menacing title to give him, like "The Firebrand Malstorm" or something. anyone got any sugestions?

let's name them 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively... cos I'm a bit lazy to type right now 4laugh

2's definitely out, too long... shorten it to something like "The Great Deeds of Our Lord"---no, that seems like a religious subject... "The Great Deeds of Ridley"... a bit better, I think... but unless you're targeting something like an adventure story... I suggest not...

3... ehhh... The Man in the Garden's better... has a bit of a mystery feel too...

my choices are 1 and 4...

but I'd go with 1...

4 just gives me the vibe of something like, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone" or whatever sequel you want... a bit unoriginal...

1 however... gives you something like a mystery and an adventure in one 3nodding

I have a new character! I want to give him a first name, since he goes by the title of Emperor. That, and I want to pick a name for him that would fit in a modern day Sci-fi setting. Help, please?

Would it be wrong to name a character Yellow? Yes, I do mean the colour yellow as a name.

I think naming a character Yellow is just fine. So long as you think of the reason WHY that character has that name, then it's fine.

I named my Character:
May Hanna

and the other

Demond Piaculum.

May Hanna is a kinda like a Pun for MayFlower since my character, May, helps people out by making them move from one state of being to another. May is a ethical person.

Demond Piaculum is Latin. Demond meaning demon, and Piaculum meaning:

Victim of Sin.

Demond is a soldier who lost his memory and is trying not to regain it. He learned that the person that he was before he had amnesia was a monster, but through out my story, he slowly becomes this beast again. He just wants to live a normal life.

one of my favorite authors loves colors; he's got a guy named Barsidious White, Mersevees Black, and Sterling Red

so i need some help with a character. He's the bad guy in the story: a modern-day highschool setting take off of Phantom of the Opera. The main Character is Ellie, her best friend (and hero) is John.

Currently, the "bad guy"'s name is Kenneth (Ken for short). But his character has developed into a darker and more hidden guy. He seems like a perfectly charming jerk on the surface, but once you get to know him, he's sweet and charming. But he's got anger issues (he kidnaps Ellie at the end for dumping him). oh, and did i mention he's a drug addict but hides it? He's also the lead actor (NOT gay) in the theater program.

Any ideas? i was looking at Dane but that seems too nice...

Actually, I've never given a thought to what the names mean to fit the character's personality. The male main character of my book, Sweet Nightmare, is named Kuro Mitsukai. The name is Japanese and he so happens to be a Japanese vampire. I usually consider what to name someone based on their "origins". It was sort of a different story with the male main character of a future book, Midnight, that will interconnect with Sweet Nightmare. Vallen Kenosha. Vallen means fallen in Dutch while Kenosha is a town in Michigan. (Thank you, Weather Channel) Vallen Kenosha is a Romanian vampire. I just thought the name sounded really cool.

As for places, in Sweet Nightmare it is based in an actual town named Eagle Point, Oregon. I wanted a town named Eagle Point and found an actual town named that. I have researched what is in it. I may go there in the future to see if I got it remotely close. But I'm just satisfied to have a name for the place. Unlike with my book The Escapist I just made up names to what I saw suiting.

These are just some of the things I have written. In total I have 6 stories that I've started and once I finished writing Sweet Nightmare I will be able to start its sequel.
