To mah Ps3 nizzles:

Has anyone tried Qore yet? I'm probably gonna download episode 1 today and see if it's worth it.

Yes I have. Its cool. It's like a interactive magazine. The first one has stuff about socom, star wars force unleashed, SC4, and some of stuff. The coolest thign about it is that you get into the Socom beta whenever that is released.

Kind of heard for me to actually recommend it or not. I don't think things like demos or betas should cost users money to get. Seams a little silly to me. Everything else about it is neat. Its a new experience and you probably wont regret getting since it is very cheap. It's weather or not you want to support paid demos/betas
I don't mind paying for each issue individually, though the subscription price is INSANE. And being able to take part in the Socom: Confrontation Beta is worth three dollars to me. Plus information on SC4 and Star Wars Force Unleashed=MAJOR upside.

Next issue has Resistance 2 info, from what I read.

You're going to have to tell me what ARG means before I click on those links.

Not making that mistake again.

Alternate Reality Game, otherwise viral marketing. Remember the whole I Love Bees marketing campaign Bungie had for Halo 2, or the Cloverfield marketing? It's basically that. (Except with a far better plot)

Although the first one ask for a street address though... Which I just randomly filled in...

Just to let you know, there are, I guess you could say some unwritten rules in this thread

1: dont be either a X-Bot or a Sony Fanboy, which you are obviously

2: Use logic in your posts. Why do the other 2 suck?

Can someone please explain the different between a normal XBOX 360, Pro and the Elite? Does 360 let you play old XBOX games?
Well, when it comes down to it, I dont think there really is a diference between any of them, other than maiby the color. They can use any controller or hard drive, and work the same as far as Im concerned.

And yes, you can play some X-Box games, but only if you have a hard rive, it doesnt work with a memory card, which is where I have a problem crying
Does the MBs or GBs affect the speed of online play? Like if you have the 120 GB, is online play less likely to have lag or something?

They are a unit of measurement for digital data. The more you have the more you can store. 1000MG=1GB

I say the 20GB HDD on the Pro is the minimum, if you intend to download extra content, videos, demo's ect... And if you need to upgrade later you can buy the 120GB HDD later, or just buy the elite straight off and save some money in the long run. Also, the Elite has a falcon chip the others don't, so it cannot get the RROD (well it does, but you restart and its find)
Remember dude, the RRoD is the general hardware failure sign. The Falcon Chipset didn't really do a whole lot to improve the Elite over the Pro.

Actually it does save it, iv seen my friends Elite RR in front of me, and he rebooted, no problem, it was fine. Just don't ask me how it does it..............

It's just luck then, but like I said, the RRoD is the general hardware failure error, it's possible that something wasn't communicating right in the console, and of course resetting it corrected it. Either way, the Falcon Chipset didn't really do anything to cut down on the 360's failure rate, nothing but a redesign of the console will really fix that. Which I feel MS should do anyways, built in Wifi receiver, standard hard drive, and four USB ports on the front would be nice.

Then explain why my friend on XBL has the RROD every other time he boots up with is elite, been like that for 3 months, no problems. Maby the falcon chip doesn't lower the failure rate because not enough have been sold, or because it doesn't work all the time. But still, you can't really say it didn't lower the failure rate, when that has never been given as a fact, only been speculation.

EDIT

And i don't think building in WiFi is a good move, because then the price goes up again, and people who don't need it,are paying for it. Like me, i use Ethernet, so why should i pay for hardware i don't need. Same with standard HDD, i know some people who have the 360 arcade version, and only use the memory card for saves. Thats it, thats all they need. And three USB ports is fine, besides, who doesn't have a USB splitter now. And for the most part, you don't even need the USB for much expect the Play and Charge Kit, Wifi Adapter (if you have the shitty MS one, i used to use a Linksys one that cost 20 bucks, and works just as well as the MS one.) and maby like a flash drive/iPod/ect for music. thats at most

I can say that it didn't lower the failure rate because we get s fuckton of Elites come in for product replacement, one of my friends picked up an Elite about eight months ago because he was told they were more reliable and it has been at Microsoft getting repaired for two of those months. So your friends elite might have a bit of a glitch to it, you can't say that they are all like that because they aren't.

The 360 in general is unreliable and problematic, it's Microsofts fault that it is like that and it won't change until Microsoft actually does something about it. You my friend have fallen for one of Microsofts many smoke screens regarding the 360.

Also, Adding in Wifi wouldn't add a lot to the cost of the unit, the fucking DS has Wifi for christs sake and those are sold at a profit.

The lack of the required hard drive is probably Microsofts worst mistake with the 360, it's not like making it standard would piss off people, or drive the cost up. And USB Hubs can actually damage the signal

Of course with Wi-fi, you always have the fact that if you reset your router you have to reconnect it again, or that it likes to randomly connect to someone else's network with no reason whatsoever.
