• At the sound of the bell,

    Children scamper away.

    To go enjoy recess,

    On this busy school day.

    The emptiness of the classroom,

That is relieved of the fray.

    Is scattered with remains,

    Of a snowy paper play.

    But when the setting settles,

    And no eyes are around.

    The cut paper patterns,

    Will rise from the ground.

    They sing and they dance,

    Leap with a bound.

    And these subtle snowflakes,

    Won't ever make a sound.
