You think I wanted this?
You think that I don't care?
Trust me when I say this babe,
Life is never fair

Hate to burst your bubble,
But this fairytale was fake
But I always do my best,
To give back what I take

Never will I come back,
Forever I'll leave you be
I'll do just what I promised,
To live and set you free.

a pleasant (in a slightly dark way) little poem, with several different interesting possible messages. the rhythm could use a little work, though.
