• I sit in the snow, under the tree,
The same spot where you first met me.
I gaze to the woods, all dressed in white,
I close my eyes to the cold winter night.

A lone wolf's cry, distant and clear,
The sound of a creature not burdened by fear.
The sound of a creature, so proud and fierce,
I listen, I sigh. I blink back the tears.

I feel a dull ache in my chest as i rise,
I trudge back home, i look to the skies.
I know in my heart wherever i may be,
From up in the clouds you are watching me.

I remember your smile, your wondrous laugh,
I delve into memories from my past.
I remember the happy, remember the sad.
And the tragic accident that you had.

I trudge through the snow, from under that tree,
The very same place where you met me.
With our names deeply carved, into the bark,
The tree is a memory, and the tree is our mark.

    I remember you.
