Somber as the day did pass
Heady summer lingering last
Deep into the darkness laid
The flag at half-mast
Deep and twisting
The day is begining
The city is sleeping
The demons creeping
Through every open door
Just to hear the weeping
The night does quell
As the shadow bids farewell
Cold wind blowing through
The leaves dripping with dew
The world has gone grey
Starting over misty, anew.

Description:
A poem I wrote a long time ago.
I can tell you what I meant in writing it, but I'd rather you take your own meaning from it. - Date: 02/16/2010
