• My shoes make a splurshing sound against the wet ground as I run.
I can feel the ice cold water soaking into my shoes,
Slithering into my warm socks, making me shiver.
My shoes are pounding against the concrete sildewalk and, as I detour, they sink into the slippery mud.
There is a foggy haze looming all around me
And I blink severely, trying to see through the blinding rain.
All I can hear is my pulse beating in my ears and my breath comes out in white clouds in front of me.
My face goes numb from the harsh wind and, before long, I can't even feel my feet, but I continue running, as if I'm on automatic.
