• A dark gray wall
    Fills the lonely sky
Fooling the sun into thinking it’s night

Cold wet splotches darken the ground
While the floor shakes when the air trembles
    And sparks destroy life

Slowly the wall begins to lift
    Leaving the lonely sky
    Awakening the world again

Bit by bit the ground warms
    The air calms
    And growth replaces what’s lost
