• I love him and he loves me,
Yet there are miles and miles between us.
There is a rift, a threat that we cannot flee.
We must follow our hearts and our trust

To make our way in this world,
For if we don’t we will fail.
The path was once straight but now is curled.
Now we must find a new trail.

I still hope to see the one I love some day
During a time when no one will care.
I must be brave, so I lay
My hand on my heart, my burden to bear.

I will give no one the satisfaction of my weakness
As I bear this burden from day to day.
For if I give into the weakness
I will lose my precious way.

I wish for someone to support me
So just incase I stumble and fall
They will be there to stop me.
Death is like a siren call.

I must be brave, so lay your hand
On my heart, by burden to share
And support me across this wretched land.
This is no longer my burden to bear.
