• There is a reason cupid has a bow
It is not the joyful romance that we hear about, oh so much
There is a reason for his arrow
But is not to point us in the direction of happiness
The bow has shot the arrow
    The arrow pierces its target
The effects are a lasting pain
That only seem to cause suffering for so many
We are given a subtle poison we mistake for love
A knife shouded by deceit is aimed at our hearts
Cupid's intensions are not what many claim to be
Rather, they are what we all fail to see
He sets us up on a platform in the skys
And drops us down into an endless pit of lies
Only when we realize the truth can we escape
Except by then we are trapped in his game
