I told my friend about the one I adore.
I also told her I could love him no more.
Since he was the reason for my pain.
Hurting my heart, driving me insane.

She then asked me would I regret my choice.
I said no, depression filling my voice.
Since I love him but he couldn't love me.
So I'm giving up on the love that wasn't meant to be.

She then told me there's more fish in the sea.
I said no, I will no longer let anyone hurt me.
So in the end I promised my friend.
I promised to her I would never love again.
