Things like the word "beauty",
they hurt
Being told I am beautiful,
it hurts
Looking in the mirror, trying to understand,
makes me hurt
Wondering why people would lie to me with those words,
sinks in the hurt
My desire to be called these words and believe it,
makes all the hurt worse
Not believing,
sets me free....
