• Sweet Dear
    Hold tight, sweet dear;
    I love your eyes,
I’m sure I’ve mentioned that before.
Branching out, brown, from your pupils,
    Green brush, impossibly green,
    I feel their perfection,
A thousand pains in my heart,
A million tears p***k the skin on my cheeks,
    Flushed paler than ever,
    Beats thud in my heart,
As if each moment is a secret spilled
    - my lungs are collapsing.
    Fingers long and strong
hold onto my life, this is so wrong,
You’ve saved me from eternal damnation,
Condemning me to a life of eternal need.
This is the worst I’ve been,
    But I could be worse;
If ever you chose to heal me.

    Ubiquity [a personal favourite]
A name clear as the eyes with which I see,
A face vague like the breaths I breathe.
A kiss like a dream, a song from my lips.
A word tingles my skin, upon which you touch,
A love, my love, ringing in my ears,
A flower blooms in our past, its sweet scent we inhale.
A movie, I place you the hero and I the damsel,
A voice, your voice, imagined in me,
A lie; two lies: your love, my naivety.

    Make it Rain
    Make it rain,
let me inhale the scent of these past few years,
watch this world come crashing around us,
frollick in blooms of lovers past,
soon we’ll join the ranks of the lonely,
are you sure you want this?
    If only your heartbeat
    - beat for me,
I’d sing a song from your lips,
    just the two of us,
    always so in tune
you became the death of me.
