A Life Without You

• Description: I wrote this poem thinking about my friend who was thinking of killing himself and told me that he would do it sometime soon. After I convinced him out of killing himself I wrote this poem and I thought about what my life would be like without the person who I loved very much and I came up with this.

Sometimes I think of life
And how it would be without you
As I think I see myself
Lost and alone
With no one to help me
I’m just skin and bone
My heart is empty
I feel nothing inside
I’m scared of this
Someone open my eyes!
None of it’s true
I’m dreaming right?
I open my eyes
And I see you
I suddenly realize
The truth in my world
That a life without you
Is like my own living hell
You wouldn’t be there
To pick me up when I fell
And as you carry me in your arms
I’d wish to tell you what’s true
When you look at me
I want to whisper out
I Love You
