The day we met,
The day we kissed,
And the day we broke apart.

I want to forget
All the good times,
All the late nights on the phone,
And everything in between.

I want to forget
When I fell in love with you,
When you never caught me,
And when I had to stand up on my own.

I want to forget
The hellos and good-byes,
The pictures,
And how fast my heart would pump whenever I saw you.

I want to forget
Because my love can’t ever go away,
Because I can’t take it anymore,
And because I want to end the silence.

I want to forget
Your face,
Your eyes,
And especially your smile.

I just want to forget it all.
Pretend it never happened.
Because the memories
Are more painful than the amnesia.

I really like this poem. It reminds me of my ex. I wanted to forget him...especially after he told me that he wanted to forget me. I can completely relate to this poem and I think it is well written 5/5
