• I creep forward quietly stalking my unexpected prey,
In the bitter snow is where I wait and lay,
The darkness swallows me as become one with the earth,
And I am ready, ready, ready to pounce on the creature on my turf.

I am scarce and silent as I stalk forward now my prey is just an inch, when suddenly my prey looks at me, I don’t move or flinch.
Did it see me? As if to answer my question the deer started to run, my stomach growled violently and I shot up like a gun.

Angier, angrier I get as my dinner slips away,
I am exhausted and hungry, and that is how I will stay.
I haven’t eaten in five days I don’t think I can go on,
The sun starts reappearing announcing that it is dawn.

In the light of the arriving sun the earth reappears,
Weak and defeated is how my feelings appear.
I lay on the ground, while I am covered with a blanket of white,
I become one with the earth again, will this be the end of my life?
