• The trees they dance entrancingly
As the wind wisps by so carelessly

    The fastened leaves
    Pulled from the dancing trees

So I wonder, do the trees not pay attention
Or is it beyond their comprehension
That their leaves are now in suspension

    I do not understand
    How they do not withstand.

I try to close my mind
But now I have become entwined
    I’m beginning to fall behind.

I see swirling colors that dance over the grass.
Oh my, did I pass through the looking glass?

    Did time cease?
    I feel so at peace.

    I could lay here forever
    And I’d never be better
But I know I can visit whenever.
