Maybe I should fade into the night
You will never bring me your light.
Let all of my emotion die
In my ear, you whisper goodbye.

In that moment, I wish you were mine
But the colors of love fade, and so shall I.
Sands of time, glitter with might
Crushing seconds into the night.

Every part of me cries
As you whisper your goodbyes.
I’ve waited for you to come back
Was this friendship just an act?

An act of kindness, act of hate
Love is what you did create.
An act of pity, act of spite
Without you, I’ll fade into night
