• Fallen Angel

She was one of those people.
    Those who could be content,
    With absolutely nothing.
Her time was always well spent.
    She had that rare ability
To smile when nothing was right.
    She never showed hostility.
She was like a magical sprite.

    Her mood was always merry,
    She was always so strong.
    She was like a fairy,
    Singing that happy little song.

    She would always laugh,
    And never gave up.
    Her life was half,
    But she never broke up
    With delight.
    She was like an angel,
    The way she would invite,
Others to her little happy place.
She cared about other’s more than herself.
And, in the hearts of all who ever cared,
She’ll always be a happy little elf.

    No one wants to remember,
    When the day came,
    That her happiness ember
    Grew to a hungry flame.
    It ate away her joy,
    Consumed her entire world.
    Everything, it did destroy.

This was a first for her,
    But she did cry.
    And most people prefer
    Just to remember
    Her always-there smile
    Glowing like an ember.

    It’s hard to believe,
    She used to be humble.
    We were sure she’d achieve.
But now she’s been left to crumble.

    She had that rare ability
To smile when nothing was right.
    She never showed hostility.
She was like a magical sprite.
    Her mood was always merry,
    She always was so strong.
    She was like a fairy,
    Singing that happy little song.
    Her life was half,
    But she never broke up,
    With delight.
    She was like an angel,
    The way she would invite,
Others to her little happy place.

But now the angel has fallen,
    Never to fly again.
She was a fairy, a sprite.
But now she just feels pain.
She had been an elf, an angel,
    Back when she was sane.

But, In the hearts of all who ever cared,
She’ll always be a happy little elf.
There was no way she could’ve been prepared.
So she’ll be remembered as an angel.
    The angel who fell.
    The fairy that failed.
And now it’s time for farewell…
