• Light light, oh so bright
    Brighten this horrid night.

And I sleep with this light on,
For my own has long since gone.

Self pity is for the proud,
    As disgust is their shroud.

    Listen not to their song,
    Their words listless and wrong.

    Trust those of hearts pure,
Either friends close or far, be sure.

    Nothing to lose only gain,
Your trust they yearn in pain.

    Silence the only prison,
    Lips sealed against words risen.

    Leave not for temptation,
    Only end in frustration.
