• 2 The Beginning of Doomsday

"So... when's he picking you up, Joey?" Yugi's violet eyes reflected his concern for his friend. Yugi could tell that he was dreading the rest of today. He hadn't told anyone yet exactly what Kaiba was going to make him do all day. 'What is he planning? Whatever Kaiba's up to I don't like it...'

"He's gonna be pickin' me up... ugh... soon I guess. He didn't give a time. He just said he'd be here early in the morning and I'd better be here 'cause if I wasn't... he'd come lookin' for me." He could see the concern in his smaller friends eyes. 'But he can take his time. I'm in no rush to do anything... really. Especially with that jerk. Exactly what does he plan on doin' with me anyway?' They were still downstairs in the shop, waiting for his torturer to arrive. He looked over to his right. Tristan and Duke were discussing amongst themselves, about his fate most likely. Tea sitting nearby, just within earshot. 'All right, they're enjoying this way too much. Make fun of Joey Wheeler will ya? I'll show them a thing or two... and Kaiba'll never know what hit 'em either when I'm through with him. Heh heh.'

Twinkling. His train of thought about revenge was broken by the sound of twinkling bells. Bells? The door! Joey turned around abruptly... bumping right into a Kaiba Corp. emblem.

"I didn’t realize that you were this eager to go, Mutt. Well hurry up and get ready then, I don't have all day to wait for slackers."

He looked up, right into the cold eyes of a smirking Seto Kaiba. ‘What have I gotten myself into?’ He had to go through with this. Joey Wheeler wasn't one to go back on his word, no matter what it was or who it was too. 'But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna regret it.' He clearly remembered what he had to do that morning. He had been mumbling quietly under his breath, snuck out of Yugi’s bedroom where he had slept that night and crept into the bathroom to change. 'I bet Duke's gettin' a kick out of this,’ he had thought. ‘Kaiba is using his idea after all.' He had closed the door to the room and ran his hand over the soft fur of the dog hood's muzzle. 'Well at least it's comfy... unless I'm gonna be outside. Kaiba better not be plannin' any outdoor stuff. I'll die of heat stroke in this thing! Not that he'd care. That'll be a perk for him.' He slipped out of some articles of his clothes and put on the costume, folding his shirt and pants and later shoving them under Yugi's bed for when he returned. 'Eh... just in case there is outside stuff I should be cooler without those at least.' He pulled the front zipper up, enclosing himself in faux blond fur. He turned, opened the door, and had sulked downstairs to wait.

"As long as you take good care of my little brother, I'll take good care of the mutt, Yugi. I promise." Kaiba was laughing under his breath. "We're going to have lots of fun. I know what doggies like to do. I'll be a great master... you'll see. Isn't that right puppy?" Kaiba looked down at him. He had taken a seat to eavesdrop and blend in with the wall, hoping to hear something about what Kaiba was planning to do with him and avoid having to do it. That, obviously, wasn't going to happen. Kaiba whistled. "Here boy. Heel."

"Nra..." 'I'll give you 'heel'... when I bite you in yours.' He slouched his way next to Kaiba, pulling the dog hood over his head.

"Good boy." Kaiba patted him on the head. He could here snickering from Duke and Tristan. He could tell that they were trying there best to contain themselves, but were not doing a good job. Tea nudged them both with an elbow, silencing them for a few seconds before they continued there restrained laughing. Yugi shifted on his feet, Mokuba standing next to him, shaking his head back and forth with a sigh. "Lets go Mutt. I've made plans for you and we have all day to do them."

“Fine, I’m comin’. Sheesh. You better not try to make me walk on all fours though, Kaiba.” ‘Great. Give him more ideas, stupid.’

“Whatever. You still have to call me Master though. It was in our agreement.” Kaiba turned and strode out the door, holding it open and staring him down, waiting for him to follow. 'Fat chance for that, Kaiba.’ He glared at his giggling friends before turning away and following his "Master." As soon as the door shut, he heard Tristan and Duke explode into peals of laughter. 'That's just not right. There supposed to be on my side...'

"In Wheeler." He climbed into Kaiba's limo, sliding all the way to the far side. He didn't want to be anywhere near him. Kaiba had the same idea, keeping to the opposite side. 'Maybe if I book it out this door and run into the street, I'll be hit by a car and not have to go through with this. Eh... if I live Kaiba will still make me, and I don't plan on dying anytime soon so there's no point in even tryin'.' He sighed as the limo pulled away and headed down the road. This was not going to be a good day.
