• Another day, another night. The same feeling every moment of this sad existence as it strives to find purpose. A purpose for what, exactly? Voices call out to empty ears as I take the final plunge into the deep cerulean sea as I account my different exposures to new people, new things, and new sights. I don’t regret my decision as my hair clings to my face as the water envelopes my body whole. What’s that lingering in my brain? A flash of guilt or stupidity rose through my eyes as glimmering tears are taken away and absorbed into the mass of blue. What was it that my mother told me; a soul is worth no more than his actions done on Earth. Those words would have meant something if it was eagerly feasted upon by younglings who thirsted for knowledge and wisdom to guide their spirits through the dangerous course known as life. When I die, who will think of me? Will my friends remember those times spent on the Clock Tower laughing and giggling at ridiculous jokes made by Jaxx? Or would it be that time when Alice’s leg was caught in a vine as we played tag at the age of seven? Maybe they would think of me as the dashing hero who would never hesitate to help someone out even if it meant that he would gain consequence or discipline. How will my parents remember me? A young wild child who always colored outside the lines. Or would it be the devious child who ran away from home at fifteen searching for a purpose in his life and decided that ultimately he would not find it at home. My life was many things, not something to be proud of or idolize but rather a figure stuck in time to be thought of when you needed to think. My heart hurts, water is getting into my lungs as I gasp for air and fall powerless to unconsciousness. Wait, I didn’t say goodbye to you yet. Don’t leave me . . . like this.

Alice giggled and brought her fist to her lips and covered her mouth to moderate the amount of elation coming from her. Jaxx laughed along with her as I sat there smiling smugly to myself. Jaxx sighed and shook his head as he laughed a few more times then got up. “Come on Nitto you’ve got to admit that was pretty funny, eh?” I shrugged and leaned against the wall “Of course it was funny, but it was much more funnier seeing you two giggling like idiots. “ Alice scoffed and pointed accusingly at Nitto “Come on you big meanie it’s not my fault! Jaxx made me laugh!” She giggled after this and let her arm drop to her lap as he leaned towards Jaxx comfortably. She made a relaxing sigh as she snuggled into Jaxx’s torso. Jaxx laughed light and took her hospitably placing an arm over her waist. She smiled approvingly and closed her eyes.

Lazy days like this made Nitto smile at his good life spent in Twilight Town. He had just moved here not but a year ago and had met his new friends quite quickly. Jaxx was sparring with Westner and Alice was cheering him on while dodging rocks being thrown at her from Westner’s girlfriend Sheetha. Nitto was watching from the sidelines sitting on a bench with his head supported by his elbows that were a foundation from his knees. He was watching the spar but he wasn’t. Cloaked figures were coming at his in his mind as he sat dormant and stoic like the rocks Sheetha threw. When a rock was about to plummet through Alice’s skull Nitto jumped form his seat and blocked it with his crossed arms in the defense position.
