A cloak flew out from a running body in the moonlight shinning down upon a grassy plane. The person ran quickly, wasting no time in keeping themselves ahead of the following body that simply walked with a bloody blade to their side. The slender figure following the running person had a sadistic and sick grin on their face. The moonlight shown down, glimmering in their red blood thirsty eyes. He chuckled moving on calmly laughing. "Oh my dear~" he sang out in a spine chilling tune.

She kept racing, panting, stumbling in places but did not stop, not going to let him claim her life. She began to see her breath in front of her as if the temperature in the summer weather had become winter. She shivered, from either fear or the growing chill in the air she wasn't sure but was not going to stop and find out. The man kept following her calmly in his dark clothing, dragging his blade across a stone, making the scraping metal ring out. A horrible fear twisted her stomach and a chill ran down her spine.

"Why do you run little girl, come and plaaaaay~" he sang going up then down with the 'a' in play in a musical tone. She screamed when she almost fell but kept going, her eyes wide in fear and tears in the corners. Her legs burned with pain from running so hard and long, her heart thudded in her chest wanting to rest, her throat was dry and tight from fear and breathing so hard. He gave a sick laugh into the air, causing her to run harder. She screamed, her foot catching an up turned root. She hit the ground hard, rolling across the ground down a slope to come to a stop hard into a tree. She cried out when her back hit the hard trunk, her body shaking in pain with heavy breathing.

He walked up calmly, humming softly as he watched her grinning. "Oh my goodness my dear. You seem hurt!" he exclaimed in a false concerned tone, sounding like he was mocking her fear of him and the pain she was in from hitting the tree. Slowly she looked up to him, shaking scared and from the odd cold that had entered the air.

He grinned down to her, his dark black hair with red strips of hair in places watched her. "You know...I can end your pain. Here....let me liberate you from this world." He said in a hiss, bringing pure fear through her entire body and tears to slip from her eyes. Closing her eyes tightly as he raised his blade she expected the worse from this.

He began to swing it down, a whistling sound filled her ears and she knew it was the end. She heard an odd sound but did not open her eyes. Metal had clashed against metal as a man in a dark colored and red cloak stood with hood drawn to show only one glowing orange eye. His blade that held yellow streaks through the blades metal held its own against the killers blade. The killer blinked confused then smirked. "You are so cute. How about we team up and I kill you later?" he asked grinning sadistically. The man protecting her narrowed his showing eye not answering verbally.

"Oh..." the killer said pouting, "so you are going to be all noble and not join me for some fun. Fine then, I'm sure there's someone else." He said pulling his blade away from the mans and stepped back. "Know this, I will have her to my collection of souls." He said holding up a black gloved hand that held no weapon. A whirlwind of air swooped in and swirled around his body, growing cloudy then when it dispersed he was gone. The man sighed closing his eyes slowly before opening them to look back at the trembling woman on the ground.

He put his blade away, turning and gently picked her up, softly touching her head. "Sleep." He whispered and gently she drifted off into a cloudy dream. "This all was but a dream. A dream in which you shall see only as a terrible nightmare." He whispered before walking off into the forest with her in his arms.

The moon above watched and to someone's eye it would appear the moon was bleeding as some red began to take its place on the glowing light. The stars twinkled seeming to dim down some as the man walked into the dark forest shadows with the girl in his arms. He vanished from sight without a trace left with her. The wind blew softly as the area became quiet.
