• She was beautiful. From the curve of her perfectly straight spine, to her slender lithe body. Her skin pale, nearly white in contrast to the dark that she wondered in. She seemed flawless, carefree. She walked through the icy plains of the world bearing no clothes on her body. She left herself to the open eyes. Her skin was pulled tight, forming a grotesque smile over her perfectly white teeth. Her eyes used to be brilliant blue. She remembered them clearly, although now where they used to lay was gouged out black holes, staring out into the world. She was beautiful. Everywhere she went the snow and ice fallowed, stretching out about her in endless layers. She walked with a confident stride, her tall frame moving with each step. Her hips swayed from time to time, as if on their own as she moved. She was afraid of nothing. Nothing frightened her, not the ice, the dark, or being alone. Where her nails were once perfectly polished, long jagged claws grew from her fingers, dragging across the ice, leaving scars. She was beautiful. She had no hair. Her head was completely free on the binding locks that had once hung there in long. wispy, dark raven waves. She strutted from land to land, place to place, never stopping for anything. Her body moving through the shadows ghostly, smooth, and silent. She made no noise. She couldn't. Speaking was something of the past for her, something she accepted. She sang though as she walked, her song a haunting wail, beautiful, clear, crystal. Her song called out to people. The old, the young, the ones who had just recently left there bodies, and the ones that had been lost and wondering for a long time. They fallowed her, she took them to the place where they could reunite with the rest of the broken soul. she was their shepherd, leading through the dark with confidence. The damned, the beaten, the sinners, and the saints all fallowed her. She was the one who was sent to retrieve them, keep them away from what used to be their bodies, now just decaying piles of flesh and bone. She was beautiful
