    Zo-ra-phene

“Zoellephene! Get over here right now!” yells my foster parent Kim.
She called me by my real name (which I hate), to you I am Zoe. My parents wanted a “original and new” name. They disappeared when I was 6 years old. The social workers dragged me off to a foster home, my foster mother, Kim, and daughter, Lauren. Lauren is younger then me by 3 months. I have had a rough time at Kim’s. They loathe me.
They didn’t think much of my parents who were authors, and known scientists.
    “ZOELLEPHENE!” screamed Kim.
I was already tearing down the street with my backpack on my right shoulder. I had the last straw with them I was getting out of there. I didn’t know where I was going, and I didn’t care. Suddenly I found my self on a bridge, Terror Bridge. It was a train bridge. I looked at my watch, 4:28, 2 minutes until the 4:30 train comes. I hear the whistle of the train. The train comes in sight! I jumped into the icy cold water. The impact nearly knocked me out. I tried to swim to the surface but, 2 figures held me back, 2 girls.
“LET ME GO!” I try to scream, but only a few bubbles came out of my mouth.
The girls laugh. Then another figure comes forth, she has a sharp rock in her right hand. Both of the girls screamed and swim away. She had a plant in the other, she shoved it in my mouth. My clothes and pack were instantly dried. I gasped, I could breath again!
    “Thank you!” I say.
    “You’re welcome,” the girl answers.
    “Who are you?” I ask.
    “I am Zoraphene.” she answers
She then pulls me deeper into the murk, a town then appears. The houses were made out of rocks. Piled high with decorations of kelp, seaweed, and seashells. There was a big glass dome in the center of it. Inside were several chairs, sitting around two thrones and 2 small ones. She dragged me to an opening, finally somewhere not in water. There was a man and a woman sitting on the chairs, the woman
looked like me, and Zora. I only then realized the resemblance between us, it looked like she noticed it too.
“Zoe, it has been too long,” the woman exclaims.
“Who are you? And how do you know my name?” I ask.
“Why Zoe, don’t you remember me? I am your mother.” she answers.
“Why did you disappear?” I asked angrily.
“It was for your and Zora’s best. Don’t you remember Zora?” My father asked.
I then remember a sister. Kim said she was killed.
“Zora, that’s my sister.” I say remembering.
“We disappeared because, we were wanted for our study of the unusual. It was rumored we had created a new world, this accusation was true. We went to our world, we took Zora and erased her memory. There was a prophecy that you two would demolish evil. Evil people in this world tried to kill you. We pretended you had died in a house fire. They believed us and didn’t bother Zora, or you.” my father explains.
“Why are we so important then, why will we destroy them?” I ask.
“Because, you are the twin princesses of this world, Zedra.” my mother answers.
Me, a princess, no way. I couldn’t be a princess. The facts were overwhelming though. I did remember Zora. I wanted to know one thing, who were those two girls that grabbed me? Before I can figure out that mystery, I have got to get some sleep. I am sharing a room with Zora. She is at her school right now. She promised to teach me everything I needed to know when she came back. The next thing I knew, she was opening the door. At last, it was time for some questions.
“Zora who were the people that tried to drown me?” I asked.
She ignored my question and grabbed a snack.
“Zora who were the people that tried to drown me?” I asked again.
She ignored me again. She walked out of the room. I grabbed a towel and whipped it as hard as I could at the door. It hit it’s mark. I then kicked it. I was angry, my own sister wouldn’t answer me. She came back in only when I was reading myself to sleep. She didn’t say anything. She just went to bed.

The next morning she slept in, I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. There was a note on the floor. It said...

Meet us at the edge at Head Quarters, we are holding your parents there. We will wait for your sister to fall for it.
    -T.

On the front it said, To: Zoraphene. That’s why she wasn’t talking to me. She didn’t want to tell who those people were. I picked up the note and brought it in our bedroom. Zora still wasn’t awake. I quietly slipped the note into my backpack. I walked out the front door and went to the Library for analysis. Their technology was more advanced then ours. I went to a computer. I slid the piece of paper in the slot and clicked enter. There was then a picture of a girl showed up. Her names was Talia Kolis, the girl looked like my attacker. I read on, she had a twin sister named Taylor. It said she lived far away from here, where only a couple houses stood. It was as far as anyone could go. Go farther, and you would be in shark territory. There were rarely shark attacks. If they came in the village, the sharks would die. I looked at the note, it was signed T. Talia starts with T and, the analysis said it was Talia. This was very interesting. I had to find them before Zora or Talia and Taylor. I set odd to where they lived. It took a while but, I finally made it. Their house looked menacing, pure black stones, and human bones covering the house. Now or never, I thought to myself. There were no windows on the house. That was very peculiar. Many people down here want to show off their house inside and out. Yet, these people didn’t want to be seen. There was a door covered in seaweed in bones. I studied the door frame. It looked like it was carelessly closed. I bet, if it was shut properly, it would be impossible to see. I decided to go inside. It seemed to be deserted. The room was completely empty. What house would have a concealed door, but nothing inside. I look down. This person must be careless, another door that looked like it was supposed to be sealed but, it was just open enough to be seen though. I opened it just a crack more, and that was everything I needed to see that many people were in the room. 2 identical girls that were Talia and Taylor, a man probably in his mid thirties with jet black hair, my parents, sitting in 2 chairs, gagged, and arms tied to their chairs, and Zora. My heart stopped. How on earth did Zora get here faster then me.
“I feel the present of an unwanted,” the man said with a thick accent.
I went stiff as a log. Right now, in my position I couldn’t move even if I wanted to. I held my breath. They started talking again.
“Y-you could’ve mistaken the sense as a shark or what not.” Zora said nervously.
“Ah, but you see, you can feel it the strongest, Zoraphene.” the man said calmly.
Taylor and Talia looked at Zora, smiling coldly. They were obviously happy of her discomfort.
“Why, the presence is so,” the man took a deep breath, “family like.”
“Who is it?” Talia and Taylor asked at the same time.
“Students, why don’t you ask Zoraphene, not me.” the man said smiling coldly.
    “I-it’s Zoe.” Zora finally said.
“Taylor, you left the door open again.” Talia shot at her twin.
“Did not, I recall you were the last one to open the door.” Taylor snapped.
“Don’t bicker, we must find our little spy.” the man told them, instantly getting their attention.
I silently turned around and walked out trying not to make the floor boards creak as I walked. On my third step, the floor board gave out a loud creak. I ran for it. I ran out to the shark territory. All 4 of them came rushing out of the house.
“You’ll be shark food for sure!” yelled Talia or Taylor.
“You can’t come back!” yelled Zora.
I walked off in the gloom of the sea. It was the endless sea. in the gloom, I could make out a small house. It was covered in seaweed. When I walked close to it, I saw a sign, “The place of the forgotten, owner/caretaker, Izzabella Intregin.” It, unlike the secret hideout, had a door you could see. I grabbed the handle and pulled it. Inside, I saw a blinding, silver light. The light came from a woman in the middle of the room she was floating in mid-air. Her brown hair was floating around her. She opened her clear blue eyes.
“Ahh, you mush be Zollephene Grace Lilyana Silver.”the woman said smiling.
    “Who are you?”I asked.
“I am the sorceress, Evangeline Urania Clio Empirsa.”she answered.
“Can you teach me?”I asked her.
    She nodded.
“First you must obtain your aura.”says Evangeline.
    “What’s that?”I ask.
“It’s what controls you magic,”she answered calmly.
“And, how do I find out what my aura is?”I ask.
“Ahh, that you must choose.”Evangeline says, smiling.
“How, do I choose, exactly?”I ask again.
“You first have to go through a test to find out.”she answers.
“I see that this place is called, The Place of the forgotten, does that have anything to do with this?”I ask.
“All, of this has to do with the name”she says, still smiling.
Then, I fell into an dark abyss. I landed on the stone cold floor. I carefully stand up and look around. 2 doors were in front of me. A golden plaque was between the doors. It said,
Choose a door, the right one is very interesting and the left one is plain boring.
Wait, the right door might have something to battle in there if it is so interesting. The left door, must not have anything, and just a door. I took the left one. I was right, just a door was there. There was another plaque. It said...
Congratulations, you chose the easy way, the right door held a Taracula.
I smiled to myself. A Taracula was a mix of Dracula(vampire) and a Tarantula. I opened the door and walked through it. Inside there was a circular room, there were doors all around.
