• Prologue: Stars

When I was a young innocent and naive little child each night, I would stare up rom my balcony and see stars glimmer. Sometimes they said hello, other times we would play hide and seek as would spend sleepless nights naming them all.

My mother would tell me stories about how each and every being had a star, they would claim that star their own by naming them, and if the glowed brighter than any star around them, then it meant that the star recognized its master.

My grandmother would say that a star glow has incredible power, and that is how they granted wishes. She hugged me closed and whispered that stars held our secrets and changed us.

Both of them loved the stars, my father on the other hand.

He thought they where nothing but a waste, they where only there to illuminate the night along with the moon. Nothing more, nothing less.

The three of us would just roll our eyes and look at the stars once more.

"Why are there stars in the sky?" I would always ask.

My mother shook her head, and my grandmother sighed, as butlers and maids looked at me with confused eyes. None of them answered me anyway, yet I still wanted more answers.

And that's why I'm here today, doing what I do. I just hope my journey has an ending.
