• "Hurry up Xaryn, we need to catch that truck, it might be our only ticket out of here!" Effy said. I'd hate to admit it, but with the blockade now in place a truck might not be a bad idea. We hurried to the autopart store to see who, or what, was in the truck.

When we saw the back open we both gasped in horror. Zombie reinforcements were unloading by the hundreds. It's over I thought, now we know that they know we're here.

Effy turned pale and whispered, "Look! In the driver seat, that can't be a zombie, can it?" Once again she was right, it wasn't a zombie. No, a person in a black robe on and a obsidian ciclet on his silver hair was sitting in the driver seat. I almost wanted to scream at him to get out of the car but then I saw something that shocked me. A zombie went up to him and he simply said to it, "Go on, find them. Your useless if your just standing here. Seriously, you zombies are so stupid." We saw one of his eyes were red and one was black.

When we got back to the Cold Zone I saw Effy was shaking with fear. She was still pale. "I am not scared," She barely managed to stutter, "Just a little shocked." I could tell she was lying. I was scared too. Who could not be attracted by zombies AND command them?

Then it hit me. He must have started it. Then that would make him a deranged scientist or (I hate to think such outlandish yet clearly possible thoughts) perhaps he was a sort of Necromancer. I asked Effy and her eyes widened. She went hystarical and kept repeating, "We're going to die, we're going to die, oh why did this have to happen?" She was crying at this point and I felt really bad. I decided to sit next to her, put my arms around her, and soothe her (eventually) to sleep. Could that crazy man be true? Do I love her? Or even then, does she love me?
