• Proluge

It was on the day the ground was so covered in blood that it soaked through the souls of your boots, and screams of anguish could be heard piercing the midnight sky, that the world ended. And it was on the day the world ended that an attempt to restore the future was made. This attempt was our last chance of survival, it held the last of our powers, and the last of our hopes...It really is a shame that it failed...

    Chapter 1

    Falling Into Dead Daddy's Arms

Lightning flashed, and the waves crashed against the rocky sea cliffs. Thunder boomed, as if Eron himself were stamping his foot in his sky kingdom above me. The lights from the cliff village glowed eerily through the mist. Oh ya, and I was falling. I'm nopt sure how, and Im not sure why, but I am most definetly falling. Off the cliffs. Into the waves that are crashing against the rocky cliffs, while lightning flashed and thunder boomed, and the lights of the cliff village glowed eerily through the mist. I was falling. I would have died. I should have died. But I didnt. All I remember is plunging into the freezing cold waves and the strong arms pulling me out and carrying me somewhere warm. All the time whispering in my ear, "Shhh my dear little Jaylin. Its okay now. Daddys got you." This probably wouldnt have meant much at the time to my waterlogged brain except for two things. That wasnt my name, and my father was dead

    Chapter 2

    Three People Around the Fire

I awoke because cold water was trickling down my face. For those of you who have an understanding of waht this particular experience feels like, you know why this aroused me from my slumber. Not that Im complaining. I wasnt exactly having the best of dreams. I opened my eyes then closed them again quickly, gritting my teeth to prevent myself from crying out. There appeared to be a light somewhere and when Im opened my eyes it took pleasure in shooting a thousand tiny daggers into my head.
Someone chuckled softly, "Fimone, do you mind? Ive just found my little girl. It wouldnt do for to die of pain before we get the chance to know one another." Someone grumbled and I heard a hiss as the fire is partially extinguished.
"Go on my dear, open your eyes now." says the same gentle voice that rescued me. I forced my eyes to open and sat up slowly so I wouldnt get woozy. It appeared that I was in a cave. I could hear the distant sound of the sea from the cave opening. I was wrpped in a heavy woolen cloak. Also in the cave were three other people. Two men and a woman. The man sitting nearest to me had dirty blonde hair and sky blues that twinkled, surrounded by smile lines. Based on the fact that the other two were wearing theirs, it was his cloak that I was currently wrapped in.
Next to him was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She had hair like starlight and eyes the color of stormclouds. But I could see the kindness in them. Her eyebrows were arched and her ears slightly pointed. She smiled to reveal two rows of perfect even white teeth. I blushed and gave a small smile.
The other man was beniding over the flames muttering under his breath. He had as red as the flames of which he was tending to and his were the color of cooled cinders. He glared up at me and made a face. So I did the natural thing; I made an even nastier face back. This seemed to win his approval because the corner of his mouth twitched and he nodded before going back to the fire.
