• The sun was setting over the horizon as a white kit glared into the last rays of sunlight. A shiver ran down her spine as darkness crept over the mountains. "Hey Dawn!" Dawn leapt in the air and turned to see older kits running to her. "Where were you?" A Silver tom asked. "Yeah, Leaf has been looking for you all day." Chimed a tortise-shell she-cat. A brown tabby she-cat only looked back at the caves with sightless blue eyes. "Leaf's coming." She mewed, just before a light brown tabby queen came padding from the cave. "Dawn? Rock? Mint? Whisper?" Leaf called. She spotted the four kits and ran up to them, her fur puffing in anger. "What have I told you about coming out here alone?!" She demanded. Her green eyes a blaze. "Do you want a hawk to swoop down and make a meal of you?" Leaf turned her gaze on the brown tabby kit. "You promised me you wouldn't go out here without me Whisper! You are in the most danger out here." She hissed and picked up the now furious she-cat.
