• After 5 more minutes passed Gakupo came out. “No one’s here.” He replied. But just as those words came out of his mouth, he was pulled in the room so fast we didn’t see it. As the aluminum bat clattered on the wooden floor, we all heard thuds, splats and Gakupo’s scream and instantly knew what was in the house and what it was doing to Gakupo. We fled to the kitchen, which had 2 entrances so we can escape if the monster came. As we ran, Rin tripped and fell. “Rin!” Len screamed and ran to her. “ DON’T WORRY ABOUT ME!” Rin shouted as she got up. “But-” Len started as he stopped dead in his tracks. “JUST GO!! I’LL DISTRACT THE MONSTER!!” Rin shouted as she cut him off. With teary eyes, he caught up with us. Behind us, we heard Rin’s scream as the monster attacked her. Len swore he would kill the monster for murdering his sister. Then it screamed a scream that sounded so familiar. When we passed the room where Gakupo was, Gumi tripped on the bat and collapsed. Len grabbed the bat and stood in front of us. “GO!” he yelled. “Len!” Luka shouted, “I don’t think your sister would want you to waste your life!” “WHO CARES?!” Len argued. “SIS AND I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN ANYWAYS!” Gumi looked pretty shocked as we grabbed her and ran off leaving Len with the monster. I heard the monster’s whispery breath as it drew near Len. But before the monster tore him apart, I heard Len say in shock, “Miku and Mikuo’s mom?!”

We were running around the house for a while and we were tired but we didn’t dare stop. Then Gumi stumbled again and Luka ran to her. We were about to too, but as soon Luka tried to help Gumi up, the monster arrived. Oh the monster was a sight! The monster’s hair was a frizzy pure black curtain that covered its face and it wore the same dress that mother died in but it was all bloody. Mikuo didn’t notice the similarities and nudged me to run. He tried to tell Kaito and Meiko too but they were frozen, so we ran. The monster gave out a cry that sounded like my mother’s when we scared her. It sliced through the small barrier that protected us and chased after us. Mikuo and I ran around the house again and dove into our room. We lock the doors and turned on the light. I couldn’t hold back my tears and cried my eyes out. Mikuo came and hugged me. I realized he was crying too.

It wasn’t a long time after we cried; it was 8 or so to be precise, when we heard the doorknob turning. Mikuo hugged me tighter, not as tight to choke me, and glared at the door with tears still in his eyes. I don’t know how he can prepare for a fight so fast, but I know he will lose this one. As the door creaked open, he hugged me tighter. As the monster came in, we both gasped at its appearance. Oh, it was a woman that looked exactly like our mother. Its hair was brushed, its hands were no longer bloody and it wore the necklace that Mikuo and I made her. “Mother? I thought you died.” Mikuo cried as he ran up to her and hugged her. “No.” Our “mother” replied as she crouched down and hugged him back. “I went away for a while and I have come back.” I was so happy I was about to hug her too, until she said in an evil tone, “come back to hunt our family down.” And killed Mikuo in front of me. I was so shocked I felt my legs gluing to the floor. Our “mother” threw Mikuo against the wall and came after me. I tried to stagger out the window, but she grabbed my legs and dragged me out of the room. I screamed as I tried to grab on to something but couldn’t. When I was out the room I felt a sharp pain on my back and everything went black.
