• Chapter 3 of If I Live To See Tomorrow

    Isabella's Point Of View

I walked out of the office with, what had to be,the hottest guy in the world. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye and tried hard not to gasp at how unbelieveably hot he was. He had long black hair that he seemed to constantly move out of his beautiful purple eyes. I had never seen anyone with purple eyes, and it had certainly caught me by suprise when I first saw him at the front of the school. He was wearing a tight black shirt that seemed to show off his muscles and dark jeans that covered his long legs. Did I mention he was super tall?! Well compared to my height of 5'3 he seemed like a giant. If I had to guess I would say he was about 6'0 or 6'1. He caught me staring at him and smirked. I blushed deeply and looked in front of me.
"So,James,"I said trying to make conversation,"Why did you move here?" He frowned as if I had reminded him of something he would've rather forgotten.
"Job opportunities,"He said. He seemed to be focusing on the ground pretty hard while we walked. "Uh,you had a job opportunity?"I asked another blush creeping up on me.
He nodded,"Yeah,I don't know if I'll take it though." I thought a moment before speaking again,"Would you still live here?"
He shook his head,"No,I would have to go back to Virginia." It was my turn to frown. I really wanted him to take that job. If he didn't I would never see him again.
"I'm sure the job isn't that bad,"I said with a hint of sadness to my voice. He smiled a sad smile,"Trust me. It's bad." He seemed to shudder from some memory before he looked back to me with a huge smile lighting up his face. Oh,when he smiled he was even hotter. I blushed deeply. I looked at my watch and realized that class was fixing to start soon. I quickly showed him around and he asked me questions once in a while about the school and how things worked. I answered all of his questions and we headed to our first class. He stopped suddenly in the doorway of our first class. I looked at him confused,"Uh,James. You kinda blocked the doorway." He didn't seem to notice me as he stared at someone already in the room. "Logan,"He muttered angrily.

    James's Point Of View

"Logan,"I muttered angrily and then immediately hid behind a mask of happiness. If Logan knew that I didn't want him to be here Isabella would probably get killed quicker. Logan looked up at James and smiled slightly before looking to Isabella. James tried to hear what he was thinking, but Logan made sure to put up walls around his mind so I couldn't know. "Hey James. Who's this pretty little lady with you?"He asked. I felt like choking him. Pretty little lady?! What was with him? What was with me? Why did him calling her that make me want to kill him? So many questions, with no answers. I looked to Isabella and she seemed shocked at what he had called her also. She blushed faintly and smiled,"My name is Isabella. Yours is Logan, right?" Logan smiled brightly and nodded,"Yes it is. How'd you meet my friend James here,Bella?" She seemed to grimace at the nickname he had given her. I didn't blame her. Calling her Bella made her seem like the Bella in the Twilight series and she was way different then that girl. And much prettier. "The prinicpal introduced us. Told me to show him around,"She said politely. Even though she didn't like the nickname she was still polite. I would have been pissed, but then again, people always did tell me that I had an attitude problem. Logan looked to me then back to Isabella. "Well if you don't mind,I'm going to steal him away. See you later,Bella,"He said with a wink and headed off to a table he had already taken residence at. I stayed where I was and looked to Isabella. She gave me a sad smile before she went and sat next to a girl at a table near the front. Logan motioned for me to head over and I finally gave in. We sat at the back of the class so we could see everything. Logan didn't want to miss a thing. I wanted to skip this assassination and move onto another one that would be easier. I didn't want to kill Isabella. She was so perfect and she had much potential as a Light Angel. Logan elbowed me in the side and I glared at him. He grinned and whispered,"This is going to be the easiest assassination ever. She already seems to have developed a thing for you. Seeing as how she's staring at you and all." I hadn't noticed her staring at me,but now that I looked I could tell she was. She was staring intently at the both of us. I gave a small wave and she blushed deeply having been caught in her staring. She gave a small wave back and turned to the front. Logan and I laughed but for completely different reasons. I was laughing at the complete amazement that she had been staring at me. Logan was laughing because he knew this was going to be easy, for him. It might kill me to see her die,but if I didn't kill her I would be dead. I sighed heavily and put my face into my hands, feeling Logan's and Isabella's stares.
